Notifications and phone alerts

How to set this up

1. Switch on the severities you want in the Notifications card. macOS asks once for permission to show notifications.
2. For your phone, press Set up ntfy. One button makes a private topic and shows a QR code.
3. Install the ntfy app, scan the QR, and press Test send. You will see the alert on your phone within seconds.
4. Telegram is the other way: press Open BotFather, make a bot, paste its token and press Save and check token, then Find my chat.
5. Optional: set the health digest times. It sends a short summary of every machine to your phone.

Something not working?

• Test send says it failed: read the line under it. It names the check to make.
• On iPhone, if the scan does nothing, open ntfy, tap +, and paste the subscribe address shown.
• No macOS notification: open System Settings > Notifications > Vantage and allow them.
• A phone alert needs an observability server on a machine that is on: see Settings > Observability server.
